INTRODUCTION
Myco Foods Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of MHP) is an innovator of plant-based meat substitutes, supplying turnkey ingredients to brand name and private label products in major UK retail multiples.
Myco has over the last five years developed the Hooba® range of meat-substitutes with a proprietary mince made from mushroom stems. Hooba® is a turn-key ingredient designed as a minced meat substitute with the mince being formed, extruded or vacuum filled into any shape or casing on standard meat industry equipment and will act in the same manner as minced meat during the processing phase. Once cooked Hooba® will firm up giving the same texture and bite as a minced meat product.
