He has been associated with the Company and our Promoter Group companies since 1996. He is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Company and supervised our Company’s efforts in relation to the listing of our Company’s GDRs at the Alternate Investment Market in the London Stock Exchange in 2005 and 2006, and thereafter shifting them to the main board of the London Stock Exchange in May 2010. He has received a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University, USA with a major in finance. He has also undertaken executive education courses from Harvard Business School, USA, one in finance and another on launching new ventures.

Mr S. Sundareshan obtained a Masters degree in arts from Mumbai University and holds a MBA from University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He joined the Indian Administrative Services in 1976 and belonged to the Kerala Cadre. He served as Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. He was a member on the Board of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC), GAIL India Ltd., Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., and the Chairman of Petronet LNG Ltd.

He has held several other senior and prominent positions in the Government of India and in the State Government of Kerala.

Mr. Yogendra Kr. Modi is the founder of the Company and has been associated with it since its incorporation in 1992. He holds a bachelor’s degree in textile engineering from the University of Punjab. He has collaborated with world leaders in technology and contributed to the economic development of India for nearly five decades. He has conceived, implemented, and operated several large projects in the areas of industrial chemicals, cement, textiles, electronics, and auto components. He was a member of the Dean’s Council at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA.

He is the founding Chairman and Managing partner of Sabre Capital worldwide, a private equity and investment company focused on financial services. He was previously Chairman of Centurion Bank of Punjab in India and non-executive Director Fortis Group (Belgium and Netherlands), Schlumberger Ltd. and Pearson PLC. Before that he was associated with Standard Chartered PLC as Group Chief Executive and worked with Citigroup in various senior positions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.

Mr. Pankaj Ramanbhai Patel is the Chairman of Zydus Lifesciences Limited. He is also the Chairman of Zydus Foundation which has set up Zydus Hospital and Medical College, Dahod.

Mr. Patel has both research and techno-commercial expertise and has published over a hundred research papers in peer reviewed journals and is a co-inventor in more than 64 patents. He has been conferred with Dsc. (Honoris Causa) by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

Mr. Patel has been appointed as a part time non-official Director in the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). He is on the board of several institutions, including Chairman of IIM Udaipur, Chairperson of the Board of Governors of IIM Ahmedabad, and Invest India. He is a member of the Governing Board of India Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, and a member of the CEO Advisory Committee of International Generics and Biosimilars Association (IGBA). Mr. Patel is the Past President of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). He also officiates on the board of several charitable institutions.

In recognition of his contributions to the healthcare industry in India, Mr. Patel is a recipient of several awards including the Acharya PC Ray Memorial Gold Medal Award, the Eminent Pharmacist Award, and the India Innovator Award. For his entrepreneurial vision, Mr. Patel was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Life Sciences category in 2010.
