Air China extends partnership with Datalex
Datalex, a market leader in airline e-commerce solutions, today announces the extension of its Air China partnership for an additional three years.
Air China, the flag carrier of the People’s Republic of China, began its partnership with Datalex back in 2010. The long-standing partnership is a testament to the strength of the relationship and shared commitment to advancing the airline’s digital retail capabilities in pursuit of a modern, legacy-free future of Modern Airline Retailing.
As part of the renewal, Air China has migrated to Datalex’s Stellex platform. Air China will use the Stellex Shopping & Pricing (Offer) capabilities, to power its website, mobile applications, and OTA flagship stores. This will enable Air China to achieve its digital retail ambitions, advance its ecommerce functionality, driving greater cost efficiencies and faster market responses, ultimately offering its passengers a superior shopping experience with more choice and transparency.
Jonathan Rockett, CEO at Datalex, commented: "We are delighted to extend our partnership with Air China for an additional three years as we continue to be a key enabler of Air China’s digital transformation journey. This extension reflects our ongoing commitment to the Chinese market by investing in capabilities that cater to the unique needs of our partners in the region. In conjunction with this, Datalex has created a centre of excellence within China to increase product innovation for the Chinese market with expectations to double capacity in 2026."
Commenting on the partnership with Air China, Yundi Cao, General Manager, China, at Datalex said: “Air China has been a long-standing and valued partner of Datalex for many years, and it’s been a pleasure to work so closely with the team during this time. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and supporting the airline as we elevate the passenger experience together.
I am delighted to see the trust and faith the Datalex management team has shown to build and expand in China with the announcement of our new centre of excellence.”
