The JP Jenkins Index

The JP Jenkins Index provides a balanced and straightforward view of how valuations of our member firms change over time.

Market cap weighted – the index tracks the 15 largest companies, with any single firm capped at 20% weighting.

Quarterly rebalancing – constituents and weights are updated every quarter based on market capitalisation.

Dividend treatment – dividends are not tracked in real time, but their impact is reflected at the quarterly rebalancing.

Company exits – if a firm leaves the venue, its last traded price is carried forward until the next rebalance.

Divisor adjustment – at each rebalance, a divisor is applied to ensure that changes in the overall market cap of the top 15 companies don’t distort index performance.
